Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026  ·  Last updated: October 23, 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

SS Life & Legacy Group (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a licensed, independent insurance agency that helps individuals and families find life insurance, Indexed Universal Life (IUL), final expense, and related coverage. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website, our live chat, our appointment scheduler, our advertisements, and our phone and text communications.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Our website forms do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or detailed medical records. If you later apply for a policy, the insurance company you apply with will collect the information it needs under its own privacy notice.

Information collected automatically

3. How we use your information

5. Call recording

Calls between you and our agents may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, and to keep an accurate record of what was discussed. We will tell you at the start of a recorded call. If you do not want to be recorded, tell the agent and we will continue without recording or arrange another way to help you.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We disclose information only as follows:

Text-message privacy: No mobile information, including phone numbers and text-messaging opt-in data or consent, will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. It uses cookies and similar technologies, and IP addresses are anonymized. Analytics runs only after you choose Accept on the notice shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our site, or through your browser settings. Learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Our website also stores small amounts of information in your browser (for example, which ad campaign you came from and your cookie choice) so the site works correctly. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of analytics.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep inquiry and contact records for as long as needed to help you and to meet the record-keeping requirements that apply to licensed insurance agencies, and consent records for as long as needed to show you agreed to be contacted. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9. How we protect your information

We limit access to your information to authorized staff and agents who need it to help you. Our agent dashboard requires each person to sign in with their own credentials, and agents can see only the clients assigned to them. We use encrypted (HTTPS) connections for our website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if required by law in the event of a breach.

10. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, and to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide with our records, and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

11. Insurance privacy laws

If you apply for or buy a policy, your information is also protected by federal and state insurance privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and your state’s insurance information privacy rules. The insurance company that issues your policy will give you its own privacy notice explaining how it handles your information. Health information you provide during an application is handled by the insurance company under its own privacy practices.

12. Children

Our website is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through this website. A parent or guardian who wants coverage for a child should contact us directly. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If we make a material change to how we use information you already gave us, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
